The broad, flat blade is pierced with a series of triangular cut-outs and finished with a row of decorative rivets along the spine — a treatment typical of prestige swords carried by a chief or his sword-bearer during ceremonial processions, never intended for combat use.
The solid wood handle features a bulbous pommel carved with an incised zigzag/crosshatch pattern — a non-gilded version of this type of regalia, likely associated with a chief of secondary rank or intended for a less solemn occasion than a fully gold-leafed state sword.
