About this mask:
A finely carved Baule mask presenting an elongated, refined oval face with a high domed forehead marked by a row of raised vertical notches — a decorative element often associated with scarification patterns. The brows arch gently into narrow, elegantly carved slit eyes, flowing down a long, straight nose to a composed mouth and pointed chin, giving the face a serene, dignified expression characteristic of Baule naturalism. Flared, wing-like ear projections extend from either side of the head, while a tall, pointed crest rises dramatically from the crown, adding vertical presence to the mask's silhouette.
